Dear Friends,

I so enjoy seeing Holy Scripture in all the colorful fonts of your welcomes on the 'welcome to' thread that Citizen started. You are all very creative and should never, ever, sell yourselves short. It's so true what I once heard; that we never know the effect that something we say or write may have on someone we've never met.

Um, I'm hoping to post here about my thoughts and experiences; but at some point I'll have to tell my spiritual director about it once I'm in the Monastery; to see if I have his blessing/permission to continue. He might say no; or he might want to redirect me to write about it in some other way. I'll pray he blesses me to continue though.

Will you all please pray for it too? Thanks.

Like all of you I'm a strong believer in the power of Prayer. I've seen it melt hearts of stone, heal the desperately ill, and replace inner pain with joy unceasing.

I come from Jewish stock; so my walk has been one of continual rediscovery. I look forward to making many friends here.
till next time,

Wow, what an interesting background!

What kind of monastery are you in?

And since I didn't offer it early, (sorry!) allow me to offer my welcome here.

I'm so glad you've found us!!

BTW, you mention you're in Dixie. I grew up in New Orleans... are (were) we neighbors?

Be blessed,
Beseda

Oh I do so hope that you are allowed to continue your journey with us. I look forward to hearing more about it. So interested in hearing more about you. How did you come to convert from Judaism?
