Terms Of Service
Forum rules - last revision 10/09/05

Welcome to the Christian Messageboard. In order to make your stay as pleasant and constructive as possible, please take your time to read through this document. We desire a peaceable community and the Terms of Service are designed to help you know what to expect. These rules can be changed without notice though normally we announce changes via announcement in all the forums.

1) First and foremost: Be nice to each other. Treat the moderators and other members respectfully. Harassment, profanity, insults, and personal attacks will NOT be tolerated.
If you have a problem with another member turn to the nearest moderator and if the moderator can't help you send a private message to Admin.

2) Do not spam. No advertising.

3) Links to content of a questionable nature will not be tolerated.

4) No debates. Lively discussions are expected ... fighting and attacking are not. If a thread is locked, do not start new threads to continue the argument or complain about the moderators. Sometimes the threads are reopened; if you have questions or concerns send a PM to Admin.

5) Multiple registrations are prohibited and are grounds for immediate account deletion and termination.

6) All polls must include an option for "Pon" as well as an option for "I just love you April, you're just wonderful!"

7) If you don't comply with these rules you'll have to face a set of sanctions.

Sanctions - or what awaits you if you don't stick to the forum rules

We have a very active moderation team and a lot of members who will remind you of the rules should you not stick to them, be it for not having read them properly or for simply not caring.

When people choose to keep infringing these rules, moderators can issue a "strike." A strike remains for 30 days, after which it is removed.

As in baseball, members are allowed three strikes. After a third strike, the member will be placed on "moderator approval" status for a 3-day period. That means that when you post, it will not show up on the board until a moderator is online, reviews it, and approves it.

After the 3rd day, you go back to your most recent 2 strikes. If you recieve another third strike (before the remaining 2 expire), you will be put on moderator approval status for 30 days. After the 30-day period you get a fresh start, and the cycle starts over again.

If you wish to contest a strike send a PM to Admin with a reference to the post in question and an explanation of why you think the strike is not justified. In case of a suspension you can send complaints to: christianmessageboard@hotmail.com
